First time mixing peptides, feeling lost?

So i finally decided to try my hand at actual peptide use instead of just reading about them. Got a tiny vial of something basic, but the whole reconstitution thing had me staring at the screen for an hour. I have a phd in molecular biology so i know the science of what the peptide does in the body, but the practical side of mixing powder with bac water felt entirely different.
Watched a couple of videos, read a forum thread or two, but every time i think i have the technique down i second-guess myself. Is it okay if the water touches the powder directly? Should i swirl or invert?
I kept worrying i'd ruin the whole batch or worse, inject something i shouldn't. Ended up just going slow, using a syringe i already had cleaned, and trying to be careful about the angle. Still not 100% confident but i figured i'd ask here before i try again.
Fwiw, i'm in cork, so if anyone local has tips that'd be grand. Just looking for a straight answer from people who've been there, not a lecture.

- optimizer_jenna: I felt the SAME WAY when I started, tbh. I have a background in nutrition, but the practical part of using a syringe was actually very intimidating for me since I had never done it. For me, it seemed best to let the water drip slowly down the side of the glass rather than shooting it directly onto the powder. I was afraid of damaging the peptide, though it could just be my own nervousness. I never shake the vial, I only gently swirl it. Are you using sterile syringes for every single draw? I w
- fasted_scientist: Ngl I reckon the gentle swirl is the way to go. I felt the same way at first, like I was going to ruin the whole batch if I moved too fast. I always drip the water down the side too. It seems safer for the peptide, though I am not sure if there is actual data on how much damage a direct stream does.
