Thoughts on combining rapamycin and metformin for autophagy?

I have been reading quite a bit lately about how people use rapamycin and metformin together to try and maximize autophagy. Since rapamycin inhibits mTORC1 and metformin activates AMPK, it seems like they might work through different pathways to mimic caloric restriction. I am actually quite curious if combining them is better than just using one, or if it might be too much for the system.
Tbh, I am a bit nervous about the side effects of this combination. I have seen that metformin can cause GI upset and B12 depletion, and rapamycin is known to potentially elevate lipids. I am especially worried about how they might interact regarding my energy levels or metabolic health.
Has anyone here actually tried a pulsed rapamycin protocol alongside metformin? I would love to hear about your experience with how it felt for your daily energy or if you noticed any specific changes in your bloodwork. I really want to understand the safety profile before I consider anything, as I am still quite new to these types of compounds. If you have any good research or papers on the synergy between them, please share. Thank you!
