Thoughts on PE 22-28 and TREK-1 blockade

I been reading about PE 22-28 /peptides/pe-22-28 and this whole TREK-1 potassium channel thing. The idea that it can trigger neurogenesis and synaptogenesis faster than SSRIs is brilliant, but its still preclinical. I love a good biohack, but this feels like a massive leap for humans.
For me, mood and brain health are all about the numbers. I track my HRV and sleep patterns like a hawk to see what actually works. Some of these fast acting antidepressant claims in animal models always sound a bit overhyped when they hit the forums. I reckon the jump from mice to people is where things usually go off it.
Still, if it actually helps with neuroplasticity, it could be a game changer for recovery. I wonder if anyone here has actually tried to track their cognitive markers while using something similar. Do you think blocking TREK-1 is safer than just messing with serotonin levels like old school meds do? Or is it just another thing that sounds great in a lab but wont do much for us in real life 🥗?
