Anyone tried rapamycin with telmisartan for metabolic health?

Howzit everyone, I am reading a lot about rapamycin and telmisartan lately, specifically how they might work together for longevity. I am still quite new to all this research stuff, so I am trying to understand how these things fit in a stack, fwiw.
I see people talking about rapamycin to trigger autophagy, the cellular recycling thing, but I am a bit worried about my lipids going up. I read that rapamycin can sometimes increase lipids, which is not great for me, hey.
Then I saw mentions of telmisartan being more than just for blood pressure because it acts as a partial PPAR-gamma agonist. It seems like it might help with insulin sensitivity and mitochondrial stuff, which sounds lekker for staying healthy as I get older.
Has anyone here combined them? I am curious if the telmisartan helps manage the metabolic side effects from the rapamycin, or if it is just too much to mess with at once. I am definitely going to talk to my doctor before I try anything, but I would love to hear your personal experiences or how you approach the math for these things. π°οΈ π

- practical_runs: I have been reading a lot about this combination lately too. Ngl, the lipid issue with rapamycin seems to be a very common concern in the research papers I look at. I do not have personal experience using them together yet, but I am curious about the timing. Some people I have followed online suggest that it is not just about what you take, but how you space it out to avoid constant mTOR inhibition. It is smart that you mentioned the PPAR-gamma aspect of telmisartan. If you are worried about in
- paul_labrat: Thanks for the input, fwiw. I agree about the bloodwork, must get my levels checked before I even think about starting anything, hey. You mentioned spacing things out to avoid constant inhibition, that is interesting. Do you know if people usually do the rapamycin once a week or every few days to help with that? π
