Is NR actually worth the hype for energy?

I see so many people talking about NR like it is some magic pill for getting your life back, you know? Everyone says it is the best way to get NAD+ levels up because of the safety profile, but I am starting to wonder if it is just a very expensive B3 vitamin for most of us.
I tried taking it for a few weeks, maybe 500mg every morning, and honestly I did not feel much different. I thought maybe my energy would jump or my brain would feel sharper, but for me, it felt like nothing happened at all. I did have a little bit of stomach upset on the first few days, but after that, it was just regular life.
Maybe I am doing something wrong or the dose is too low for my body, right? Some people say you need much more, but I do not want to deal with more nausea if it does not work. Has anyone else felt like they are just wasting money on these precursors, or am I just being too skeptical? I want to believe it works, but I need to see some real results first 🙋
