Do GH peptides really stall aging or just hype?

There's a Scientific American piece from a few years back titled "Growth hormone peptides promise to stall aging, but does the science stack up?" It walks through the history of things like sermorelin, notes it was FDA-approved for kids with GH deficiency then pulled for commercial reasons, and generally questions whether the anti-aging hype matches the data. The article's fair, it doesn't just repeat vendor claims but looks at what's actually been studied versus what's marketing.
I've messed around with various secretagogues on and off, and honestly, the recovery boost can feel real when you're training hard, but whether it's the peptide or just pissing better sleep and training consistency is hard to separate. The piece leaves out a lot of the practical stuff, like how people actually run these things, cycling, saturation points, or why some feel nothing at all. It's mostly high-level science which is fine but not super helpful if you're trying to decide whether to drop a few hundred bucks on a month of something.
