There's a randomized controlled trial posted on PubMed Central about MK-677 given to healthy older adults for two years. It looked at body composition, clinical outcomes, and growth hormone effects. The study found increases in lean body mass and some metabolic changes, but also noted increases in blood glucose and insulin levels. What stands out is that it was double-blind and modified-crossover, which is solid design, but the glucose findings give me pause.
