Questions about combining rapamycin and metformin for autophagy

I have been reading a lot lately about how different compounds can trigger autophagy. It seems like a huge part of the longevity conversation since it is that cellular recycling process.
I am thinking about trying a low dose of rapamycin once a week, maybe around 5 mg. I have seen people talk about pulsing it to avoid some of the side effects like mouth sores or issues with wound healing.
I am also curious if anyone has experience using metformin at the same time. I know it activates AMPK, which I think is a similar pathway to how rapamycin works by inhibiting mTOR. I am a bit worried about them being too much at once or if they just complement each other.
Also, has anyone noticed a big difference in their energy or sleep when using this combination? I am just starting to look into this and I want to be careful. I definitely want to get bloodwork done to check my lipids before I start anything. If y'all have any specific papers or studies that look at these two together, please share them. I am trying to be as thorough as possible before I jump in. 👀
