This Stanford article basically looks at the difference between actual FDA approved drugs and the stuff people are buying online. It talks about how much of the current interest is based on hype versus what the clinical data actually shows.

I think it is a pretty solid reality check for anyone just starting out. It is easy to get caught up in the crazy claims on social media, but the science is usually way more boring than the influencers make it sound. For me, staying cautious is the only way to go. Most of the stuff people talk about in these forums is still pretty unregulated, so you have to be careful. It is basically a reminder that just because something is popular does not mean it is safe or proven.

Do you guys think the hype is actually going to die down once more people realize how much research is still missing?
