Trying oral BPC for a nagging shoulder thing

been dealing with this dull ache in my right shoulder for months. nothing dramatic just shows up when i sleep wrong or carry groceries. physio helps but progress feels slow.

my NP colleague mentioned the oral arginate version of BPC-157. said some of her patients use it for gut stuff but also for systemic inflammation. i read the profile here, 500 mcg to 1 mg once or twice daily, half life around four hours.

way easier than pinning. started at 500 mcg once a day with breakfast. first week nothing noticeable.

second week the morning stiffness dropped a bit. could be placebo could be the physio finally clicking. hard to tell.

no GI issues so far. no headaches. just that subtle shift where you realize you didnt wince putting a plate in the cupboard.

anyone else run oral BPC for a tendon or joint thing? curious if the timing around rehab matters or if its more of a background support thing.

Im staying on 500 mcg in the morning for now, but was thinking about splitting the dose since a few people mention half life stuff. Funny you mention the "good days" stacking up, because I almost missed that shift until I realized I was just less grumpy getting dressed. Did you run it for a set number of weeks or just go by how you felt?
  • derek572: Anecdotally, I kinda just went by feel. I set out planning for 4-6 weeks but honestly stopped paying close attention once I hit a run of “good days” in a row. Noticed the shoulder felt less touchy, so I tapered off. I havent needed it daily since. For me, tracking pain and mobility in a notebook helped spot the changes.

I like the notebook idea, because right now Im only noticing it in dumb little moments, like reaching into the cupboard or tossing a grocery bag over the shoulder. I was planning a 4 to 6 week run too, and Im only at the end of week 2. If I get a few good days in a row, I may back off and see if the physio gains hold 👀
