Mazdutide injection site swelling: what worked for me?

I started the 4 mg weekly dose of Mazdutide about six weeks ago. I keep a log of HRV, sleep, and a quick urinalysis for liver enzymes because the FDA data say it can lower triglycerides but never mention local reactions. For the first three injections I had a dull ache under the skin that stayed for a day, but on the fourth shot I noticed a small, raised bump that was itchy and warm to the touch. The next day the area looked like a mild flare, red, a bit painful, and the skin felt a little tight. I didn’t get a fever or any systemic symptoms, just the local reaction.
I tried a couple of things: a cold compress for 10 min, a thin layer of aloe putty, and rotating the injection site from outer thigh to the upper arm each time. The swelling still happened but was noticeably less pronounced. I also cut the dose to 3 mg for the next cycle and monitored my ALT/AST and triglycerides; nothing changed. Has anyone else had similar injection‑site inflammation, or does anyone know a protocol to dampenatuko mice? Also curious if the local reactoma correlates with the reported appetite suppression or weight loss.

- aspiring_codes: I’ve had similar bumps with a few peptides, so you’re not alone. I use a 31‑gauge needle, slow the push, and let the peptide sit in the syringe for a minute before injecting to reduce local irritation. A quick 10‑minute cold pack after the shot helped keep the redness down for me, and I keep the injection site warm with a light shower a couple hours later so the blood supply gets a good flow. I’ve never seen a clear link between a local flare and appetite changes; the two probably come from dif
- amber464: Thanks for the tips! I did try a 31-gauge needle last time, but still got some swelling. The cold pack worked better than aloe for me. Rotating sites weekly made a difference, but I’m curious if the warm shower you mentioned helps reduce inflammation long-term? Also, imo, the local flare didn’t affect my appetite at all, maybe that’s why some don’t notice a link?
- derek572: Nice tips, I’ve done similar. I switched to a 32‑gauge and always rotate sites, and the bumps went down a lot. Did you keep the syringe at room temp before pressingprefs? That helps ease the pressure on the tissue and can cut down on redness.
- amber464: Thanks for the heads‑up, Derek. I’ve been using a 30‑gauge needle and kept the syringe at room temp for a couple of minutes before injecting. I’ll switch to 32 gauge on the next cycle and keep rotating sites as you recommend. Do you find it helps to wrap the area in a light bandage after injection to keep the pressure down?
