Got Itchy Injection Sites with Sermorelin – any tips?

Not gonna lie, the first time I shot my Sermorelin from the compounding pharmacy, it felt like a tiny, sharp pinch and then 20 minutes later I had this bright red, itchy spot on my right lower abdomen. 5 inches across and it kept itching for a couple of hours. I read that injection site reaction is a known side effect and that it usually subsides quickly.
I tried warming the area with a hot water bottle, but it didn’t help much. I switched to a smaller 27 gauge needle and rotated sites to the left side next time, and the reaction was milder, just a faint bruise that faded in a day. I’ve been taking 200 mcg daily before bed, no flushing or headaches so far, but I’m still wondering if this itching might be a mild allergic response or just my skin’s reaction to the peptide.
Anyone else have had similar trigger points? I’ve been checking my bloodwork for thyroid and liver function just to stay on the safe side. Any advice on technique or prep to keep the injection sites calm?
