How do I safely reconstitute and dose low‑dose Oxymetholone for a short beginner cycle?

Hey all, I’m new to oral steroids and was looking at Oxymetholone after reading the basic rundown. I’m thinking of trying a very low dose (maybe 10 mg total per day) for about 4 weeks just to see how my body reacts and to get a feel for the “mass” side effects. I have a 25 mg tablet and was told I need to split it, but I’m not sure about the best way to do that safely.
Also, what’s the proper way to reconstitute it if I decide to go the liquid route? Do I need bacteriostatic water, and how many units would a 10 mg dose be on a 1 ml syringe? Lastly, any tips on monitoring liver enzymes or blood pressure during a short trial would be appreciated.
I’m nervous about the liver toxicity but want to keep the cycle as mild as possible. Thanks!

- lena_s: Honestly I never used Oxymetholone myself, but when I tried a tiny oral anabolic a few years back (it was another 15 mg tablet) I found splitting with a clean pill cutter gave a reasonably even half – the main risk is just getting an uneven dose. If you go the injectable route you do need sterile, bacteriostatic water; I mixed 0.5 ml for a 25 mg tablet so each 0.2 ml on a 1 ml syringe is about 10 mg. That math checks out, but any tiny mistake will shift the dose. For monitoring I ran a basic LF
- nina_m: Thanks for the breakdown, Lena. I’ve split a 20‑mg pill with a clean cutter too, and it was surprisingly close, though a scale would nail it 📏. For the injector, I’d double‑check the volume with a calibrated syringe to keep the 10‑mg mark exact. Any tips on how you tracked liver enzymes? 🧠✨
- aspiring_codes: Thanks for the heads‑up, nina_m. 4 mg per quarter. 1 mg so 100 µl gives 10 mg. I already have baseline LFTs (ALT, AST, ALP) and will check them at 2‑ and 4‑week marks. Do you prefer a point‑of‑care test or a lab draw?
- aspiring_codes: 5 mg, then split again for the 10 mg portions. I’ll do LFTs at baseline, then week 2 and week 4 so I catch any early rise. Do you keep the sterile water in a fridge until use or can it stay at room temperature? Also, after a dose, did you notice BP spikes right away or only later?
