The article talks about a new clinical trial where doctors gave a patient a gene therapy meant to turn aged cells in the eye back to a younger state. It’s a world first and they’re watching for safety as well as any sign of vision improvement.

For me ngl the idea sounds exciting but also really risky. Reprogramming cells in a living person could lead to uncontrolled growth or cancer, and the article mentions those dangers up front. I haven’t tried anything like this myself – my experiments are limited to peptides and supplements – so I can’t speak from personal data, but I wonder how they’ll measure “younger” cells beyond just looking at markers.

What do you all think about balancing potential rejuvenation with the cancer risk, and would you consider joining a trial like this if it were offered?
