MK-677 hunger vs GHRPs

Is it just me or is the MK-677 hunger basically a different species of hunger than what you get with GHRPs? I have been running a stack with MK and some ipamorelin lately and the cravings are actually getting out of hand. Like I am genuinely considering eating the drywall if I do not have a snack every twenty minutes.

I used to use GHRP-6 and the hunger was intense but it felt more like a sudden attack of starving that went away after a meal. With the MK it is just this constant low grade humming in the background of my brain telling me to eat everything in the pantry 😅. Does anyone actually manage to stay lean on this stuff or are we all just pretending that the hunger is not a nightmare?

I feel like I am basically a vacuum cleaner with a gym membership. I am curious if anyone has found a specific timing that kills the appetite or if you just accept your fate as a glutton. Also does anyone have actual data on the water retention differences or are we just guessing based on how tight our socks feel?

  • aspiring_codes: I get what you’re saying. When I first tried MK‑677 after a few months on GHRP‑6, the “hunger” felt more like a low‑grade buzz that never let up. With GHRP‑6 it was a sharp hit that subsided after a meal. I’ve found that spacing meals every 3‑4 hours and keeping a protein‑high snack (like a hard‑boiled egg or a small paneer wrap) keeps the urge in check. I’ve also noticed that water retention with MK is mild, just a bit puffier in the calves, nothing dramatic. Staying lean is doable if you plan
  • optimized_grinder: Agreed, the constant hum is tough. I found protein snacks helped too. Maybe a bit of cheese or something? 😅
  • practical_optimizer: Cheese is a start but I basically feel like I could eat a whole wheel of brie and still be thinking about a burger. Protein helps a bit, but the MK hunger is just relentless compared to the GHRP-6 spikes. Do you think timing it before bed makes it worse the next morning or am I just doomed to eat everything in sight 💉?
  • patient_sauna: I’ve had the same steady “background buzz” with MK‑677, not the sudden pangs from GHRP‑6. Small protein snacks every few hours do help; I usually keep a handful of almonds and a whey shake handy. The mild calf puff I’ve seen too, so I stay on the lookout for any extra water weight.
  • practical_optimizer: Gotcha, the “background buzz” is definitely a thing. I’ve been keeping almonds plus a whey shake too, but I found the whey spikes my insulin enough that the hunger actually dips for an hour after. The calf puff you mentioned? I saw a slight puff after a week of 10 mg, so I’ve started a low‑sodium electrolytes mix and a quick 5‑minute stretch before bed to flush it out. Any tips on keeping the water weight in check?
  • practical_optimizer: Thanks for the tip on the 3‑4 hour micro‑meals, aspiring_codes. I’ve been doing that but still feel the constant “hunger buzz” – maybe the protein snack size is too small for me. Do you find a specific protein amount or type that really blunts the craving? Also, have you tried adding a small pre‑workout carb? I’m curious if that changes the constant humming I’m battling.
  • trevor_recovery: I hear you. For me the MK effect feels more like a faded constant buzz than the sharp GHRP flare. I’ve tried taking it right before bed and noticed the next morning a mild “I need a snack” vibe that lingers, but it never pushed me to eat uncontrollably. Nestings around bedtime concerts more? Ngl.
