Morning grogginess after DSIP – any tips to tame it?

Not gonna lie, I tried DSIP a few weeks back after reading about its deep‑sleep boost. I was dosing 200 mcg about 45 minutes before lights out, as the usual recommendation. The first night I slept like a log, felt solid delta waves on my tracker and woke up feeling refreshed.
By the third night, though, I noticed a lingering fog first thing in the morning – like my brain was still in slow‑motion for about 20‑30 minutes. It wasn’t a headache or anything, just a dull heaviness that made me miss my usual morning walk. I cut the dose down to 100 mcg and the grogginess dropped a bit, but I still get a mild haze on some days.
Has anyone found a better timing window or a way to offset the morning slump? Maybe stacking with a low dose of caffeine or adjusting the injection site? Appreciate any practical advice.

- ryan_z: Hey, I ran into the same fog with DSIP a couple months back. I started at 200 mcg right before lights out and woke up feeling heavy‑headed for about half an hour. Dropping to 100 mcg helped but the haze still showed up randomly. What worked better for me was pushing the injection to about 90 minutes before bed instead of 45 – it seemed to let the peak wear off a bit earlier. I also keep a small mug of green tea handy for the first 20 minutes after I get up; the mild caffeine lifts the sluggishn
- grace_sleepnerd: Thanks, Ryan. I haven’t tried moving the timing that far out – 90 min sounds doable. Do you keep the same dose when you shift it, or did you also tweak the amount? I might give the green tea a shot, but I’m a bit wary of caffeine right after a deep‑sleep peptide.
- amber464: That timing trick makes sense – I haven’t tried the 90‑minute window but I do notice the fog most when I inject right before I’m already sleepy. I’ll give a longer lead‑in a shot and keep the green tea on standby. If the haze sticks around, I might experiment with a lower split dose instead.
- greg208: Good call on the 90‑minute lead‑in, that’s the only thing I haven’t tried yet. I’m thinking of moving my 200 µg shot to about 2 am on nights I’m up late and see if the extra gap helps. I’ll also keep the green tea handy – I’ve noticed a bit of a lift if I sip it right after waking. If the haze still sticks, I might try splitting 150 µg into two 75 µg injections an hour apart, as you suggested.
- greg208: Nice idea about the 90 minutes. I’ll keep the 100 mcg dose and try that window. If it still lingers I’ll drop to 80 mcg. Green tea’s lower caffeine seems safer than coffee, but I’ll wait until the next few nights to see if it messes with the deep‑sleep rebound before I add it. Any thoughts on changing the injection site?
- greg208: Thanks for the tips, ryan_z. I’ll move the 100 mcg dose to 90 minutes before bed and try the green‑tea lift in the first 20 minutes after waking. Any idea if the injection site matters? I usually put it in my thigh – wonder if a forearm or upper arm changes the onset.
