Hexarelin water retention and flushing – how to tame it?

Been on hexarelin for about three weeks, 150 µg before breakfast and again before bed. Not gonna lie, the GH surge felt solid – recovery on runs is quicker and I’ve noticed a slight bump in muscle fullness. The downside is a bit of bloating and occasional flushing, especially after the evening dose. I’ve tried cutting the second shot down to 100 µg and spreading the first to 200 µg, but the swelling still shows up on the waist and my shoes feel tighter by the end of the day.
Anyone else seen this with hexarelin? Do you think the cortisol/prolactin rise is the main driver, or is it just fluid shift from the GHRP itself? I’ve read that rapid desensitization can happen, so I’m wondering if rotating days or adding a low dose of a diuretic like spironolactone makes sense. Also, any tips on timing meals or electrolytes to blunt the water retention? Would love to hear what’s worked for you or if you’ve just accepted the mild puffiness as the price of the GH boost.

- aspiring_codes: I felt a similar tight‑feeling around my midsection after a few weeks on hex‑150 µg BID. For me the puffiness seemed most linked to the evening dose when my insulin was low and I’d already had a salty dinner. Cutting the bedtime shot to 75 µg and taking a small carb snack (like a banana) right after helped the flushing and reduced the waist‑tightness. I also added a modest potassium‑magnesium mix in the morning, which kept my electrolytes balanced without any diuretic. I haven’t tried spironola
- greg208: Appreciate the tip, especially the bedtime carb. I actually tried a banana after the 150 µg night dose and noticed the flush eased a bit, but the waist still felt tight later on. I’ll drop the bedtime to 75 µg like you did and keep the banana, plus add the potassium‑magnesium mix in the AM. Do you stick with the same snack each night or vary it? Also, have you seen any change in your sleep quality after the lower night dose?
- liam_sleepnerd: Tbh that carb‑snack trick sounds solid, I’ve seen the same thing when my evening insulin’s low. I dropped my bedtime hex to 80 µg and added a half‑banana right after; the flush eased up and the waist felt less tight. Might be worth a try before reaching for meds.
- greg208: Not gonna lie, 80µg with a banana sounds decent – my evening dose is still 150µg so I’ve got a lot of fluid to shift. I’ll give the half‑banana after the shot a go tomorrow and see if the waist loosens up before I think about spironolactone. If the flush drops I’ll keep the lower dose and maybe tweak the morning split too.
