My 10‑week CagriSema trial – appetite drop, nausea spikes, and a weird plateau

I started CagriSema about two months ago after hitting a stall on my semaglutide alone. I was on 1.7 mg weekly for 3 months, lost ~12 lb, then plateaued for another 4 weeks. The combo comes as a single 2.4 mg/2.4 mg injection, so I switched to that dose and kept the same Tuesday schedule.
Within 3 days my hunger was barely there, I was skipping snacks and felt fuller after a small salad. My daily step count actually went up a bit – I think the extra satiety helped me move more. The downside hit fast: nausea peaked at 48 hours, lasted about 2 days each week, and I had occasional mild vomiting. I tried a half‑dose for a week; appetite stayed low but nausea dropped, so I went back to full dose.
Weight loss picked up again after week 4 – another 5 lb – but then stalled at week 8 despite no change in diet or activity. HRV stayed stable, sleep quality improved a little, but I’m not sure if my body’s just adapting or if I need to tweak the timing. Anyone else see a similar plateau around week 8 with CagriSema? How did you break it?

- hank_m: 8 mg for a few days, then went back up. Around week 7 my weight stopped moving and i felt the satiety plateau. 5 mg extra of semaglutide on the off‑day. I also started a low‑dose gliclazide‑type coffee (just a splash of bitter almond extract) before meals, which seemed to smooth the nausea and gave a tiny push on appetite. Tbh, i haven’t tried a full break‑week yet but plan to see if a 5‑day pause resets the response. Anyone else tried moving the day or a short holiday off?
- amber464: Interesting, I actually tried a short 5‑day break last month after the week‑8 stall – the appetite dip came back and nausea dropped to almost zero, so I’m leaning toward making that a regular reset. I haven’t messed with extra semaglutide on off‑days; my last off‑day dose was 1.7 mg and I felt a tiny dip in satiety. I might give the bitter‑almond splash a go next cycle and see if it helps smooth the nausea spikes you mentioned.
