RU-58841 Scalp Irritation: My First Time and What I Learned

I started using RU‑58841 at 80 mg per 1 mL vehicle, once daily, about two months ago to help with early scalp thinning. The first week I noticed a dry, itchy patch right where I applied the solution. The area was slightly red and felt tight, almost like a mild sunburn.
I didn't put any moisturizer on it, and the irritation persisted for three days. On the fourth day I switched to a light, fragrance‑free lotion and started applying RU‑58841 on an already moisturized scalp. The itching subsided after two more days, and the redness faded.
I’ve kept the routine the same since then, and have only had a mild stinging sensation when I first apply it, which goes away after a minute. If you’re new to this compound, consider using a light moisturizer beforehand, and keep an eye on the site for a couple of days before you think the reaction has disappeared. That’s what helped me avoid a full flare‑up.
