Low-Dose Weekly Rapamycin: My 4‑Week Experience and Side Effects

I started a low‑dose rapamycin protocol last month, 3 mg once a week, in an effort to boost autophagy and maybe slow down some of the wear I’m feeling from years of firefighting. The first week it hit my mouth, some dryness and a mild sore spot that went away after a day. I haven’t noticed any major changes to my sleep yet, but I do feel a little more alert in the mornings and my usual post‑workout soreness seems reduced.

A friend who’s been on the same wont mention any lipid changes, but I’ve started checking my fast‑ing lipids this week just to be safe. I’m still feeling the usual side‑effects of theTab: the post‑dose “mood dip” that takesနိုင် a few hours. Overall the protocol seems tolerable, but I’m wondering if anyone has done a 2‑month run and what they noticed for energy or immune markers.

  • greg208: Not gonna lie I’ve been on a 2‑mg weekly rapamycin run for about six months now. I started with 3 mg for a couple of weeks to get a feel for it, then dropped down once I had that initial mouth dryness and the post‑dose mood dip. My lipids stayed flat – I did a_padding‑fasting panel after the first month and the LDL/HDL ratio was unchanged. I’ve also started a basic immune panel; my white cell count and neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio are within normal limits, but I keep a log of any infections. I’d
  • brandon245: I’ve been feeling the same mild reduction in post‑workout soreness and a sharper wake‑up in the mornings. I’m still on 3 mg a week, so I’ll lower to 2 mg after a couple more cycles and see if the mouth dryness stops. Got you, plus I’ve kept a quick log of any colds or infections, but I’ve only had a couple of mild upper‑resp infections in the past couple of months. Will keep you posted.
