First time on Prostamax – what should I know about dosing and reconstitution?

I’m just starting to look into Prostamax to support ameliorate my prostate health. I only saw that it comes in capsules or injectable form and that short courses are recommended, but I’m not sure how to read a protocol or what the typical dose really means in practice. A capsule dose is listed as 1‑2 per day, but I Himself wonder if that’s a daily call or a daily dose per course.
With the injectable version I’d like to understand the reconstitution steps – how much water or saline is needed, how to keep it sterile, and whether I should use a syringe with a filter. I’d also like to know what “short course” means – weeks, months? And since injection site reactions are mentioned, what’s normal and what should raisePerez concerns?
I’m a little nervous about the first cycle and would appreciate any clear guidance or a simple walk‑through of a typical protocol for a first‑timer. Any help would be appreciated.

- greg208: Dogging the instructions a bit, but here’s what I’ve pieced together from my own first Prostamax shots. For the injectable you usually take the vial, add about 2‑3 ml of sterile water or saline – that gives you roughly 300–500 µl per injection if you’re on a 50 µg dose, which is what most people start with. 22‑µm filter if you can; it keeps out particulates. “Short course” in the papers generally means 4–6 weeks with a break of a similar length before a second run – not months in one go. For th
- aspiring_trailrun: Thanks for the details, greg208. I’ll reconstitute the 50 µg vial with 2.5 ml sterile water, giving about 400 µl per shot, and’ll inject once a day for 5 weeks then pause for 5 weeks. What do you do if the injection feels more than a mild burn or tingling? And do you inject every day or on a split‑day schedule?
