Question about splitting ipamorelin dose to manage hunger – any tips?

I’ve been experimenting with ipamorelin lately, taking 200 mcg right before bed to see if it helps with recovery. For me it seems to give a nice bump in deep sleep, but the hunger kicks in hard a couple hours later and I end up raiding the fridge, which kinda messes with my sleep quality. I’m wondering if splitting the dose – say 100 mcg in the morning and 100 mcg at night – could blunt that appetite spike while still giving enough GH pulses for recovery.

Has anyone tried a split schedule and noticed less nighttime hunger? Did it affect your energy or workout performance? I’m keeping a simple log of hunger levels, sleep quality (just how rested I feel in the morning) and any changes in strength. Fwiw I’m staying well hydrated and tracking my weight daily to watch for water retention.

  • amber464: I’ve been doing a split too – 100 mcg after breakfast and 100 mcg about 3 hours before bed. I still get the same deep‑sleep boost, but the night‑time hunger jump is noticeably smaller. My log shows the “fridge raid” score drops from a 7‑9 to a 4‑5. I keep an eye on HRV to see if the two pulses are still giving enough GH; mine stays in the 70‑80 ms range, so recovery hasn’t dipped. Do you notice any difference in pre‑workout energy if you dose in the morning?
  • hank_m: Tbh the split thing’s been working fine for me too, the fridge raids drop såsom you mentioned, and the morning dose keeps the muscles fed enough for the mid‑week lift. I’ve seen a slight lift in pre‑workout focus that night, but no big swing in overall power. Have you noticed any change in how long the morning dose stays in the system before you hit the gym?
  • hank_m: Tbh i did a split last month – 100 mcg at 8 am and 100 before bed – and the late‑night fridge raid really went down, just like yours. I still felt a solid pre‑gym buzz, maybe a touch stronger because the morning dose kept my cortisol steady, and my HRV stayed in the 70‑80 ms zone.
