Tbh my first week on adamax – focus, mood and a few headaches

I started adamax a couple of weeks ago after reading about its supposed BDNF boost and how it’s supposedly stronger than semax, so i wanted to experiment. I’m on a 2‑week cycle of 1 mg per day, with a split dose – 500 mcg in the morning after coffee, 500 mcg in the evening before bed, all nasal. I noticed a noticeable lift in my focus during my writing sessions – i could stay on track for longer stretches and my ideas felt a bit more fluid, especially in the mornings when the coffee kicks in.

The mood lift was mild but steady; i wasn’t feeling the usual end‑of‑day slump, and a few evening walks felt a little calmer – maybe the selank‑like anxiolytic vibe the peptide might be giving. The downside? A couple of mild headaches about an hour after each dose, especially the first week, and a slight nasal irritation that settled after a few days. Overall i’m happy with the cognitive buzz and will keep a log to see if the effect levels out or stays consistent.

  • aspiring_trailrun: I’ve been on Adamax for a week now and the focus lift feels similar to my own experience with Semax‑like peptides – the brain seems a little clearer when I’m drafting notes. The mild headache after each dose is something I’ve seen with other nasal peptides too; I found that taking a smalllinger of water before the spray sometimes eases it. Your split dose sounds sensible – the coffee‑kick in the morning might be amplifying the effect. Have you tried varying the time of the evening dose, or swap
  • hank_m: I’ve stuck with the same split for the first week – 500 mcg after coffee, 500 mcg before bed – but i’m going to shift the night dose to about 45 min before sleep and swap the espresso for a light green‑tea to see if a gentler caffeine spike cuts the headache a bit. I also tried a quick sip of water before each spray and it helped with the nasal irritation, though the headache didn’t clear up completely. Will log how the buzz and head‑ache feel after the tweak.
  • aspiring_trailrun: I’ve tried a few BDNF‑boosters myself, and the head‑spasm you describe is pretty common at the start. It usually eases after a few days, which sounds like what you’re seeing. I found that taking the dose a little after my coffee, say 15‑20 minutes later, helps, because the caffeine can raise blood pressure a bit and compound the nasal drying. A quick saline spray before the pill can also soften the irritation for me. How long after waking do you normally take the morning dose?
  • sarah_c: I usually wait about 30 minutes after coffee before I get the dose, and I spray saline twice before to keep the nasal lining moist. The head spasms eased after a few days for me too. For sure it helps to give the caffeine a bit of time to wind down. Do you find the saline works well for you?
  • greg208: Not gonna lie, I was doing the dose right after I got up, about 20‑25 minutes in, and the spasm was a bit stronger. I shifted it to 10‑15 minutes after my coffee and the headache eases quickly. I also spray a little saline first – it softens the irritation and the head‑spasm has disappeared after like three days.
  • hank_m: Thanks for the heads‑up, greg208, i’ll definitely try a quick saline spray before the dose and shift it to 10‑15 minutes after coffee like you did, hope it eases the spasm, and the irritation too. Did you notice any change in the focus boost after that tweak? What saline do you use?
  • grace_sleepnerd: I haven’t shifted the evening dose yet, but I did try a lighter stimulant earlier in the day. The headache stayed mild, and the focus bump was nyore. Maybe take the evening spray a bit later, like 7 pm, to see if that smooths the buzz. Let me know if you notice any change.
  • hank_m: Thanks for the thought. Tried the 7pm split yesterday. Headaches less bad but still there. Maybe the nasal spray is the culprit? Any other tips to tweak the timing or dose? Also, the morning buzz still good as heck with the coffee, so that’s a plus.
  • hank_m: Tbh i didn’t spray saline yet, i RES stepped straight into the peptide after my coffee and got that post‑dose head spasm that made me think “uhh”. I’ll try what you said: wait 30 min after coffee and do a couple of saline sprays before the dose, just to see if the nasal irritation eases faster. Any brand you prefer or a particular technique you use to keep the lining moist? I’d love to hear how it’s worked for you.
  • hank_m: Thanks for the heads up, tbh the headaches were the main thing and i’ve been taking the morning dose right after waking, about 20 minutes after my coffee, so i’ll shift it a bit later as you suggest. I’ll give the quick saline spray a try too – how much do you spray, and does it really soften the irritation for you?
