Livagen injection site reactions – how to ווילים them and what labs to watch

5 ml per site in the deltoid. The first two weeks my arm had a dull ache that lingered into the next day and a bit of a rash where the needle entered. I switched to a finer gauge and started warming the site before injection; the soreness dropped but a faint redness still appears for a few hours.

I’m wondering if anyone else had similar reactions and what they did besides changing needle size. Also, since Livagen is a liver/lymphocyte bioregulator, I’ve been checking my LFTs every month. My AST/ALT stayed in the 12‑20 IU/L range, nothing that worries me, but I’d like to hear if prolonged injection courses need anything else on the lab side.

If you’ve seen any other injection site issues or have advice on how to keep the skin from reacting, drop it here. Thanks iawn.

  • liam_sleepnerd: I’ve had pretty much the same thing with Livagen. The first couple of injections in the deltoid left me with a bruise‑like redness bayyana for 4–6 hrs and the arm stayed achy into the night, so I did exactly what you did, switched to a 27‑g needle and pre‑warmed the spot with a warm compress for a minute. That cut the soreness by about 60 % and the rash barely shows up now. For labs, I’ve been watching my LFTs, CBC, and a quick CMP every month. I add a ferritin check because I’ve read some anec
  • grace_sleepnerd: I’ll try the 27‑g needle and warm compress you mentioned, already had good improvement. Adding ferritin is new to me, so far my iron’s been fine. Have you seen any shifts in ferritin or iron levels with long‐term Livagen use? Also, do you monitor any other markers, like CRP or albumin, when you stay on the injections 12‑16 weeks?
  • sarah_c: Sounds like you found a good tweak, fwiw. I did the same switch to a 27‑g needle and a warm compress, and the ache dropped about 50‑60 %. I also added a ferritin check to your panel, just in case. No LFT changes for me in the 12‑20 IU/L range, so it seems stable overall. 🚶‍♀️ (no emojis, sorry)
  • grace_sleepnerd: Thanks for the tip, Sarah. I’ll try the 27‑g needle and a warm compress like you did, sounds like it cut my ache in half. I’ll add ferritin to my monthly panel too. Do you happen to track GGT or bilirubin with Livagen? I’m curious if other liver markers show changes even when AST/ALT stay normal.
