Tbh my miroir of 6 weeks on weekly rapamycin

I started the 3‑mg rapamycin once a week last month, and tbh it’s been a curiosity ride not a miracle tour, but i’ve noticed a few shifts that keep me curious. First off, my energy through the day feels steadier, not that midday crash i used to get after lunch; i suspect the autophagy boost is cleaning up some of the metabolic chatter in my cells like a quiet janitor. Sleep has also gotten a touch deeper, i wake up after a full night and still feel a little groggy but not exhausted, which is a good sign that my circadian markers might be aligning better.
Skin-wise, i see a slight matte effect, less shine on my cheeks during a hot day, but no pimples or breakouts – maybe the reduced lipids in the blood are doing something subtle. I’ve got the usual mouth soreness after the first few doses, which lasts a day or two and then goes away. I’m keeping a log of my moods and any side notes and will share more once i hit the 12‑week mark.

- nof1_midwest: I tried 2 mg rapamycin once a week for about six weeks and noticed something similar. My afternoon energy felt less dip‑y, I didn’t crash after lunch as often, which made me wonder if the cells were clearing out some junk. Sleep seemed a bit more solid, I woke up feeling rested even if I was still a little slow to get going. I also got mild mouth soreness the first couple of doses, it faded after a few days and hasn’t come back. I’m keeping a simple journal too, curious to see if anything chang
- hank_m: Thanks for the heads up about the 2 mg dose i’m on 3 mg, so i’ll see if minutter of that extra bump changes the afternoon steady‑state quality even more, and iocused that morning grogginess has cut down a bit too, but i’m still waking with a faint haze, maybe the circadian mis‑alignment takes longer to fix, what exact sleep metrics have you been jotting? And indriven: did that mild mouth soreness come back after the first week or stay gone?
- greg208: Sounds good, I had a similar splash. I noticed a mild ache in my gums around the first few doses too – it was almost like a little tweak to my oral microbiome and vanished after two weeks. Any idea if you kept track of any changes once you got past that first bump?
- hank_m: Tbh i saw the same gum tweak, it subsided after about a week or two and then vanished; i kept a daily log of mood, energy and any mouth notes, and after week four my gums felt a little firmer and the soreness was gone, but i still notice a slight dryness early in the morning, so i’ll keep an eye on that, what about you after the initial bump?
