AOD‑9604 injection site soreness and mild headache – any tips?

I’ve been using 300 µg of AOD‑9604 daily in the morning while fasted. After the first month I noticed a consistent sore spot where I inject, and a mild, throbbing headache that pops up about an hour after the shot. I’ve marked the injection spot-Frat in a notebook, rotated sites every other day, and only use a 27‑g needle. I keep my finger clean, apply a thin layer of Vaseline, and let the site rest for 48 hrs before re‑injecting. The soreness still lingers, estor maybe 4–6 hrs after injection.

I also do a quarterly lipid panel because AOD‑9604 can affect lipids even though it doesn’t alter IGF‑1 or blood sugar. My HDL’s dipped a bit, and my LDL edged up a couple of points. I’m wondering: do others experience the same injection‑site irritation or lipid changes? Does adding a topical anti‑inflammatory gel or changing the injection angle help? Any experience with combining it with other peptides (like BPC‑157) that might influence inflammation or lipid handling? I’ve been careful to avoid high‑fat meals around injection because of the lipid changes and want to stay as safe as possible.

  • sarah_c: I’ve had AOD‑9604 myself and the soreness can be a real nuisance. For me the first week it was a dull ache that followed the injection, then it settled into a mild tightness that lasted a day or two. I switched to a 29‑g needle and angled the injection at about 30 degrees; that helped the spot feel less inflamed. I also tried a thin layer of a low‑irritant anti‑inflammatory cream after the injection – it seemed to ease the ache a bit. The headaches are puzzling, but I found they often came when
  • hank_m: Tbh i’ve been scrambling with the same dull ache – a 29‑g needle at 30‑degree angle helped me, and i started applying a thin layer of aloe‑gel after the shot and the inflammation dropped a bit, so that’s one trick i’ll try next. Also i always make sure I’m well hydrated before injecting, because i noticed the head‑throbbing seemed to spike when my water bottle was empty. Have you tried the aloe‑gel or a different anti‑inflammatory cream?
  • hank_m: Sounds like you’re tackling the common irritation head‑on, and i’ve had a similar run‑of‑the‑mill ache at the first injection, but it softened after I started using a 29‑g needle at a 30‑degree angle too, and added a light anti‑inflam cream, kinda helped. Dehydration trugada my headaches more than theitações. Keep an eye on your panel.
