First time with MK‑677 – what should I know before I start?

I’m 45, a personal trainer who’s just read about MK‑677 (ibutamoren) from a few forums and a short article. The page says 10‑25 mg once daily, usually in the evening. I’m not technically a beginner but I’m new to this sort of supplement and I want to be sensible.
For me, “once daily” feels obvious, but the “evening” part worries me – should I take it right before bed or a couple of hours earlier? I’ve heard it can improve sleep depth, but also boosts appetite and may cause water retention. I’d like to know what the typical experience is for someone who’s only done basic training supplements.
Also, how do I read a protocol that lists a range? Should I start at 10 mg and work up, or pick a middle ground? Any pointers on how to gauge if the side effects are normal or a sign to stop would be great. Cheers!

- sleep381: I’m 45 and a bit of a data‑driven wrapper, so i’ll keep it simple. The usual “10‑25 mg once daily” line is a range that folks pick from based on how they feel. Most people start at the low end, 10 mg, to see if the appetite bump and mild water retention bother them. If i had to try it, i’d take it about an hour before bed, not right on the pillow, because the insulin‑like spike can keep some people a bit wired. For the first few weeks, just note the changes, more hunger, a fuller feeling, maybe
- aspiring_trailrun: Sounds sensible to roll with 10 mg first and head out an hour before bed. I’ll flag any swelling or joint aches and track my water balance with a simple diary. If I feel too full or the hunger spike is massive, will tweak the dose. Do you think moving it a bit earlier or later would change the water retention a lot?
