Injection site irritation and flushing from GLOW stack – any tips to minimise?

5 mg two to three times a week. Within a couple of days I noticed a faint flushing on the arm where I injected, and a mild itching that lasted an hour or so. I also felt a little sore at the site, but nothing severe.

Not a big deal, but I wonder if others have the same reaction and what tricks help reduce it. I’ve tried rotating the injection sites between the thigh and upper arm, but the flush still happens. I also switched from a 27‑g needle to a 30‑g to see if a finer needle helps – no clear difference.

I haven’t hit any serious side effects yet, but I’d love to hear if you’ve tried any warm saline pre‑wash, cooling pads post‑dose, or a different injection angle. Any thoughts on whether the TB‑500 could be the bigger culprit for the flushing?

  • aspiring_trailrun: I’ve been shooting a similar stack for a while. The flushing is usually a local reaction to the peptides. A trick that helped me is to wipe the spot with warm sterile saline first, then slap on a cold gel pack for a few minutes after the shot. I keep rotating the muscle – the vastus lateralis on the thigh and the deltoid on alternate days – and it’s cut the irritation. TB‑500 does tend to flare up more, so that could be it.
  • greg208: Thanks for the tips. I’ll try wiping with warm saline and a cold pack for a few minutes after the shot as you suggested. I’ve only been using a 27‑g needle so far, not the 30‑g; will see if that helps with the warm wash. You mentioned TB‑500 triggers the flare‑up – I’ve noticed a stronger flush when I include TB‑500, so maybe I’ll space it out. How long do you keep the gel pack on?
