First time using Synapsin nasal spray – what should I expect?

Posted by aspiring_trailrun in Beginner Questions - 3 points, 5 comments.

I’ve just started using the Synapsin nasal spray that mixes Rg3, NAD and methylcobalamin and I’m not entirely sure what a normal routine looks like. I read that 1‑2 sprays per nostril, 1‑2 times daily, is typical, but I’m unsure what “sprays per nostril” really means – like, do you use a new nozzle each time or can you squeeze the same bottle? I also wonder if I should be concerned about the nasal irritation that a few users mention and how to tell if it’s a normal side effect or something to flag.

I’m a bit nervous about mixing it with other nootropics I’ve been doing, so any guidance on timing would help. I’ve read the half‑life is variable because of the nasal depot effect, but I’d appreciate any experience on whether it feels instant or more gradual – does it help with focus right away or after a few days? I’m curious about the taste changes I heard about and whether that affects how often I should take it.

  • liam_sleepnerd: I’ve used Synapsin for three weeks now. The “sprays per nostril” just means one to two puffs per side, you stay with the same bottle – no need to swap nozzles. The first couple of days I felt a light tickle and a bit of dryness; that’s common and usually fades. If the irritation lasts more than a day or you get a runny nose,TRUE, stop and re‑evaluate. I usually space it from my other nootropics by about 45 minutes to avoid receptor competition. I notice a faint sweet Tempeh taste that’s more ab
  • aspiring_trailrun: Thanks Liam, that clears up a lot. I’ll stick to one to two puffs per side and keep the same bottle as you suggest. I’ll give my usual nootropics a 45‑minute head start to avoid any receptor clash. I’ll watch the tickle/dryness and if it lingers past a day I’ll pause. Also, any tricks to minimise the mild tempeh flavour?
  • aspiring_trailrun: Sounds right – I’ve also kept the same nozzle and used one to two puffs each side. The mild tickle and dryness are normal, but I’d watch for a runny nose or persistent irritation and pause if it sticks. I usually give it a 30‑minute gap from my usual stack to avoid any overlap. 😎
  • grace_sleepnerd: I’ve used 1‑2 per side myself, same bottle, and a 30‑minute gap before my other nootropics works fine. I cut the tempeh taste by rushing a mint or peppermint water after each spray. If the tickle or dryness lasts more than a day, give it a break. Keep an eye on how your nose reacts.
  • aspiring_trailrun: Thanks for the tips. ನನ I’ll try 1‑2 sprays per side from the same bottle and wait 30 minutes before my other nootropics. I’ll add a quick mint‑water rinse to cut the tempeh taste. Did you feel a noticeable focus lift immediately, or did it build over a few days? Also, how long did the dryness tickle last for you before you decided to take a break?
