Mild Redness & Swelling After MIC‑Lipo‑C Injections – Is This Normal?

I just started the MIC‑Lipo‑C blend (methionine, inositol, choline, L‑carnitine, B12) at three injections per week. The first round was fine, but after the second injection I noticed a tender, red spot that stayed around for about 48hrs. It was itchy, and the area felt a bit warm.
I used a 27‑g needle and prepped the site with an alcohol wipe, but the redness still came on. I didn’t get any rash or infection signs, just that localized inflammation. I stopped injection for a day, applied a cool compress, and the swelling went down after about 12hrs.
I also tried using an over‑the‑counter hydrocortisone cream, faded the redness faster, but I’m not sure if that’s safe long term. Is this typical for the MIC‑Lipotropic blend? Should I reduce the dose or switch to a thinner needle?
If anyone’s seen this or had it heal differently, I’d appreciate the heads up. Thanks!

- ivy_mobility: I had a similar spot after my first MIC‑Lipo‑C shot – a small red bump that felt warm and itchy for about a day. I kept the same 27‑g needle but started wiping the site with saline instead of alcohol and let it air dry before injecting. The reaction didn’t come back. I also rotated the injection spot each time, which seemed to help. Using hydrocortisone cream cleared it faster for me too, but I only use it occasionally and not on a regular basis. If it keeps happening, trying a finer needle or
- grace_sleepnerd: I’ll try what you did, wipe with saline, let it dry, and air‑dry before injecting. I haven’t tried that yet, so it might cut the inflammation. I’m also going to keep rotating sites more strictly now; I used the same spot a lot back when it first started. Do you notice any difference when you split the dose or switch to a CROSS‑ B 28‑g needle?
