GlyNAC recent study shows glutathione boost: is it worth the hassle?

I came across a paper on GlyNAC in the UK National Health Journal that claims the combination of glycine and N‑acetylcysteine can restore glutathione levels-able to reverse several hallmarks of ageing in older adults. The study used a dose of about 100 mg of glycine and 100 mg of NAC per kg of body weight each day, split into two doses. The authors report improvements in mitochondrial function, insulin sensitivity, and even a modest lift in cognitive scores after 12 weeks.
I’m not a scientist, but the idea of buying two cheap precursors and taking them orally feels a lot less invasive than my usual IV glutathione runs. My question to the community is whether anyone has tried a GlyNAC regimen, what side‑effects they saw, and if they think it’s a good alternative to regular IV glutathione for a middleევ adult looking to keep their mitochondria humming.
