Pramlintide injection site pain after first week – anything to reduce it?

I’ve just been using pramlintide 20 mcg before every major meal for అ up to a month now. The first few days were fine but after a week my injection sites on the abdomen have been sore, occasionally a bit swollen, and a sharp prick pain that lingers for a while. I’m not entirely sure if this is normal or if I’m doing something wrong – panan?

I’ve tried rotating sites and using the 1 ml pen as instructed, but the pain persists. I’ve also read that some people get mild bruising or redness, but I thought I’d mention that it’s a bit more intense than I’d expected. Does anyone else experience similar injection‑site issues?

Any tips on technique, cooler gel, or if it’s worth waiting longer to see if it improves on its own? I’ve got my bloodwork scheduled next week, so hoping to keep it under control.
