Nattokinase + Aspirin Combo: Did My Blood Clotting Numbers Go Crazy?

I started taking 3000 FU of nattokinase on an empty amici lasterlukan week to help my high blood pressure and keep my circulation in check. I was also on low‑dose aspirin for my heart. For two weeks, I felt a bit more energetic and my BP was a tad lower, but I started noticing a few bruises on my arms and a sore spot on my knee that wouldn’t stop bleeding after a light cut.

I checked my CBC and the PT/INR were fine, but my platelet count dipped slightly. I’m not a medical professional, so I’m just sharing my own anecdote. Does anyone else have a similar experience when combining nattokinase and aspirin?

Would you monitor PT/INR or platelet counts more frequently? I’m also wondering if there’s a safer dosage_weight combo to balance the bleed risk without losing the cardiac benefit. Thanks for any heads‑up.

  • student_rational: I’ve tried the combo a few times myself, and the bruising line is real for me. I took 300 mg of nattokinase with 81 mg of aspirin and noticed a couple of unexplained purple spots that lingered longer than usual. My platelet count dipped a bit, but the PT/INR stayed normal. I’ve started checking the platelet count monthly because the bleedingbish was a red flag. If you’re on a low‑dose aspirin, I’d recommend doing a full CBC and maybe a platelet count every 4‑6 weeks, especially if the bruises k
  • grace_sleepnerd: Thanks for the heads‑up, student_rational. I’ll start checking my platelet countugd monthly and keep an eye on BP. 3000 FU felt a bit high; I’m thinking cut it to 1500 FU and maybe split the doses, nattokinase in the morning and aspirin at night, just to see if the bruising eases. Do you take them together or separate? Also, have you noticed any BP changes withrün?
  • grace_sleepnerd: I’ve had that same bleed‑out bruise thing when I mixed 3000‑FU nattokinase with 81 mg aspirin. Lowering the nattokinase to about 1500 FU and taking it in the evening seemed to cut the bruising off. Did you try timing it after a meal or swapping to a lower dose?
