RU‑58841 scalp irritation – how to keep it under control

I’ve been using RU‑58841 at 70 mg in 1 ml of vehicle, applied once a day to the whole scalp for the last five weeks. The first couple of weeks went fine, but around week three I started noticing a dry, slightly itchy rash that became a bit flaky. I kept a simple diary and noted the irritation worsened when I used a thicker oil-based leave‑in product over the top.

I tried rinsing with warm water after application, but the dryness persisted. I’m not sure if this is a normal part of the “post‑application reaction” or if I’m meshes with a sensitivity. The patch test on a small patch didn’t produce any immediate reaction, but that was before I started the regular regime.

I’d like to keep the product geschrieben but want to avoid long‑term contact dermatitis. Has anyone else had similar issues and found a way to keep the scalp comfortable while keeping the dosage? Also would adding a mild humectant to the vehicle help or might it interfere with the receptor binding? Any practical tips would be appreciated.
