LSZ – LSD‑Analog That Might Be Too Good to Be True?

I came across a paper on LSZ published in the Journal of Pharmacology last week (link: /peptides/lsz) that claims it gives Alc-like visuals but with a shorter 3–4 hr window. They say it could be useful for receptor‑mapping and even neuroprotection. Not gonna lie, the idea sounds exciting – a rigid LSD analogue that could lock the shape into a single conformation and produce less body load than full LSD.
But the paper is purely preclinical and the only data are in vitro and a single mouse study. For me, the real test is how it feels in humans, and we've had no human trials yet. I’ve done LSD before, and the visual hallucinations can be intense; a shorter duration could reduce the risk of prolonged anxiety but the paper doesn’t address safety in people.
It feels like hype until we see real human data. Does anyone else think we should wait for clinical safety studies before buying into LSZ’s promise, or is it worth trying in a controlled setting?
