GHRP-6 (Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-6)

Category: Growth Hormone. Status: Research compound.

One of the original synthetic GH releasing peptides. Strongly stimulates appetite through ghrelin pathways while promoting robust GH release.

How it works

Activates GHSR-1a on pituitary for GH release and hypothalamic neurons for appetite. Triggers gastric motility and ghrelin-like reward signaling.

  • syringe_science_sue rated it 5/5 - Clean GH pulse without the sides: Running GHRP-6 for 6 months now, primarily for recovery and body composition. The first benefit I noticed was dramatically better sleep, deeper and more restorative, within the first week. Body composition changes came slower but are real. Leaner midsection, slightly fuller muscles, and my recovery between training sessions is noticeably improved. Not dramatic bodybuilder gains, more like everything works a bit better. Side effects have been minimal. Some water retention in the first 2 weeks that settled down, and occasional numbness in my fingers in the morning that goes away within an hour
  • subq_samantha rated it 4/5 - Better recovery and deeper sleep at 4 months: GHRP-6 has been a solid addition to my protocol. The GH release translates to better sleep, improved recovery, and a gradual improvement in body composition that I did not get from training alone. I track my sleep with a wearable and my deep sleep percentage went from 12% to about 18-20% within the first two weeks. That alone is worth it for recovery. The body comp changes are more subtle but visible in progress photos over 2-3 months. No significant side effects at the doses I am running. Occasionally wake up with slightly puffy hands but it resolves within an hour. Recommend starting conse
  • data_driven_dan rated it 5/5 - Body comp changes subtle but real: About 2 weeks into my GHRP-6 protocol and the compound is doing what it is supposed to. Sleep is deeper, skin quality is better, fat around the midsection is slowly reducing, and my recovery from training is improved. The key insight I have learned is patience. This is not an overnight transformation. It is a slow, steady optimization that compounds over weeks and months. People who quit after 2 weeks are not giving it enough time. Only downsides: some mild joint stiffness early on (actually a sign it is working) and the fasted dosing schedule is sometimes inconvenient. Worth it for the over
  • codes_nomad rated it 4/5 - GHRP-6 made weeknight eating feel normal again: I tried GHRP-6 after a rough stretch on shift work in the ICU and a training block in Oakland had me under-eating without meaning to, which was honestly annoying because I’d sit down at 9 pm and just have zero interest in food. Over about 8 weeks, it seemed to kick my appetite hard and my recovery felt a little better, and I dropped about 11 lbs, which I wanted to avoid. The one caveat was the hunger was sometimes almost too much.
  • climbs_labrat234 rated it 4/5 - GHRP-6 helped my cut, but hunger was very real: I used GHRP-6 for about 3 months while I was cutting for powerlifting here in Germany, and the first week was basically all appetite, actually. I felt the hunger within days, which made eating after training much easier, but also a bit annoying on rest days. By week 3 my stomach seemed to empty better, and recovery felt a touch smoother. I went from 78 kg to 69 kg in that time, about 9 kg down, and tbh I would use it again, just with more planning.
  • wes149 rated it 5/5 - Skeptical at first, but GHRP-6 earned my respect: I went into GHRP-6 pretty skeptical, imo, being a retired firefighter in the Midwest and trying to get leaner while still training hard at 40-something. After about 8 weeks, I dropped 16 lbs and my appetite and recovery seemed noticeably better. Could be some placebo in there, but it felt real to me.
